Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information this website collects, how it is used and the choices available to you.
Last updated: 10 July 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy applies to jaelchunge.com (the “Site”), a personal portfolio website belonging to Jael Chunge (“I”, “me” or “my”). It describes what personal information the Site collects, how that information is used and the rights you have over it. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
This Site does not run its own contact form or account system, so it collects very little personal information directly. Information may reach me in the following ways:
- – If you email me directly or book a call through the scheduling link, the name, email address, phone number and any message content you choose to share is received by me for the purpose of responding to you.
- – Standard, non-identifying technical data (such as browser type and general location inferred from IP address) may be logged automatically by the hosting provider for security and performance purposes.
- – A single preference value recording your cookie choice, stored locally in your browser (see Section 4).
3. How We Use Information
Any information you share by email or through the scheduling link is used solely to respond to your enquiry, schedule a call or progress a professional engagement. It is not sold, rented or used for advertising, and it is not shared with third parties except where necessary to deliver the service you requested (for example, a scheduling provider processing a booking) or where required by law.
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
This Site uses a minimal, strictly functional form of local storage: a single value that remembers whether you have accepted or declined cookies, so the notice does not reappear on every visit. This Site does not use tracking, advertising or third-party analytics cookies.
If you book a call through the external scheduling link, that provider operates under its own privacy and cookie policy, which is outside my control. I recommend reviewing it separately.
5. Third-Party Services
The Site links out to third-party services, including a scheduling provider for booking calls and LinkedIn for professional networking. These services are operated independently and are governed by their own privacy policies. I encourage you to review the relevant policy before sharing information with any linked third-party service.
6. Data Security
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are taken to protect any information shared with me, including relying on reputable hosting infrastructure. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information you have shared with me, or to object to its processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact me at jaelchunge@gmail.com.
8. Data Retention
Correspondence and information shared through direct contact is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your enquiry or manage an ongoing professional engagement, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
9. Children’s Privacy
This Site is intended for a professional audience and is not directed at children. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in practice or for legal or regulatory reasons. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
